South Australia Hiking

It is ill-advised to come to South Australia without a good pair of walking boots! The State has literally hundreds of walking trails, some mere strolls, others offering exciting challenges, even some in the heart of the city of Adelaide. Walking is the best way to explore this part of Australia to experience the wildlife, bird life and flora. Most of the trails are in national parks and regional areas, passing vineyards, historic towns and areas of stunning natural beauty. Most famous is the 932-mile (1,500km) Heysen Trail.
