Climate

The weather in the Cayman Islands is warm all year round, the trade winds ensuring that things do not get unbearably hot. High season for holidaymakers is from December to April, after the end of the annual wet hurricane season, which in recent years has seen some particularly violent storms. If the hurricanes stay away however, many regard the wet season as a good time to holiday on the Caymans because accommodation is cheap and beaches quieter, with rain occurring in quick, heavy showers that dim the sunshine only temporarily.
